Who We are ?
We are a Design House with a huge experience of many years in the design of energy, power electronics, UPS Systems of small, medium and large power, motor speed systems (Inverters and DC motor drives), industrial rectifiers, Converters, telecommunications power supplies, UPS systems, CVCF Inverters, smart grid systems and others.
We have a big experience in projects with microprocessors, microcontrollers, DSP and DSC, basic software, automation and control software, Digital signal processing software and sophisticated protocols for data transmission.
We are specialists in magnetic components like transformers, inductors, planar transformers and others, being the only specialists in Latin America about additional losses due to complex magnetic that involves skin depth, proximity effect, strange effect, end effect and others of equal importance. Due to this fact we have been working as technical consultant for many international companies here in Brazil..
Since 1972 We have been designing power systems for the Brazilian telecommunications network, like the south back bone of Embratel (Brazilian state carrier telephone and satellite company). Those power systems used to be power supplies of -48V 4000A and 8000A with additional +72/-72Vdc power supply for TELEX stations.
We had designed many high power UPS systems for Telebrás, Eletrobrás and Petrobrás. Used to be systems that was directed to perform rigid telecommunications standards, reliability and eletromagnetic compatibility standards due to the fact that they used to work side by side with microwave equipments, telephone exchange stations, measurement equipments and other sophisticated and complex systems. All performing CCITT, CISPR and TELEBRÁS standards.
Many were the High power UPS systems installed at Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (Proj 1979), Embratel (Proj 1987), CRT - Companhia Riograndense de telecomunicações), Centrais Elétricas de furnas (Proj 1988). A 125Kva UPS with thyristors in modular and vectorial harmonic cancellation basis. This last one is still working today.
Used to be and is very usual we get in a brazilian telecomunications station and came across many big power supplies of various capacities like 2000A and 4000A at different generations of our projects, working together at same time. Those equipments manufactured by different companies like Comércio e indústria induco S/A, Indelsul Indústrias Eletrônicas do Sul S/A- Saft. Semikron Electronics and others. All certified by Brazilian telecommunications Agency - Anatel or TELEBRÁS. All of different techcnologies and perfectly in accordance with their times.
We are technical consultants of many international companies like Schneider Electric among others. For them I have been doing consulting in the study of additional losses applied for dry transformers in the range of 15 up to 25MVA. The last technical consulting for Schneider electric was around a project of a dual 6MVA transductor of a magnetic amplifier used in a fusion of tin power system. The sistem makes part of a continuous tin plating line of Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional. We designed the transductors.
We are Design Partners of Microchip and Design House of Freescale, both the main manufacturers of Microcontrollers, DSP and DSC of United States.
We designed several international projects for telecommunications infrastructure and big UPS Systems for companies in Taiwan, China, Germany and United States like Power Hawk of Taiwan, Phihong, First International Computers, Semikron and others. Many of those projects transferred in technological licensing basis.
Too much time before Taiwan and China start to manufacture their own big UPS systems, we were doing our very modern and high technology equipments including exporting technology to there. Can be seen below an advertising material of Power Hawk, mentioning a such project. The technological transfer of that system was a part of a global agreement with Semikron, where we designed many big systems, including telecommunications Power Supplies, UPS Systems and Industrial rectifiers. This project was so advanced for that time (1995) that up to 2010 they had been manufacturing this equipment in Continental China.
We had many partnerships with international companies like SEMIKRON, POWER HAWKS of Taiwan, Phihong, FIC. In FIC/PHIHONG group we kept a partnership during more than 6 Years, developing a wide range of UPS models and some high frequency power supplies. And with SERMIKRON we kept a Partnership during 9 Years.
